Privacy policy

The short version

This is a product information site for a lighting supplier. You can read every page, browse the catalogue and download datasheets without telling us anything about yourself. We only receive personal information if you choose to send us an enquiry.

• No advertising cookies, no tracking pixels, no analytics scripts, and no third-party marketing tags.
• We do not sell, rent or share your information with anyone for marketing.
• Your enquiry basket is stored on your own device and is not sent anywhere until you submit an enquiry.

Who is responsible for your information

This site is operated by the company named in the details at the end of this document, a limited liability company registered in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. That company is the controller of any personal information you send through this site.

What we collect, and why

There is exactly one place on this site that collects personal information: the enquiry form. The fields are:

Name

Required — so we know who we are replying to.

Contact number

Required — the fastest way we can respond.

Email address

Optional — used to send a written reply and any attachments.

Company

Optional — helps us pitch the response at the right level of detail.

What you are asking for, so we can answer it.

Enquiry basket contents

If you added products, the items and quantities are submitted with your enquiry so we can quote against them.

We ask for this because you have asked us to get in touch about a commercial matter. We use it to reply to you, prepare a quotation or specification, and keep a record of the exchange. We do not use it for marketing, and we do not add you to a mailing list.

The enquiry basket

When you add a product to an enquiry, it is saved in your browser's local storage on your own device. It is not a cookie, it is not sent to our servers, and we cannot see it. It stays there until you submit an enquiry, clear it yourself, or clear your browser data.

Cookies

This site does not use advertising, analytics or tracking cookies. There is no Google Analytics, no tag manager and no social media pixel anywhere on it.

The only cookies set are session cookies for the private administration area, which are created when a member of our team signs in to manage product content. They are never set for ordinary visitors, and they carry no information about you.

Who else handles the data

We use a small number of service providers to run the site. They process data on our instructions only:

Vercel

Hosting and content delivery. Handles the request logs any web server produces, including IP addresses.

Supabase

Database and file storage. Enquiries you submit are stored here, along with product datasheets and images.

Both are established infrastructure providers and may process or store data outside the United Arab Emirates. We do not use any other third party to process enquiry data.

How long we keep it

Twenty-four months after we receive an enquiry, your personal details are automatically removed from it — your name, company, address, phone number and email address. This runs on a schedule, so it does not depend on anyone remembering to do it, and once it has run those details are gone and cannot be recovered.

What survives is an anonymous record of which products were asked about and when. It is no longer connected to you, and we keep it to understand what our customers ask for.

If your enquiry leads to us supplying you, the resulting quotation, contract, invoices and correspondence are separate records held under our accounting and tax obligations. This section is about the enquiry itself.

You can ask us to remove your details sooner, and you do not have to wait for the 24 months to run out.

Your choices

You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, or ask us to delete it. Write to the email address below and we will deal with it. There is nothing to unsubscribe from, because we do not send marketing.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Enquiry records are held in a database that is not publicly readable — access is restricted at the database level, and only signed-in members of our team can read them. No system is perfect, and we do not claim otherwise, but we do not store payment details or any sensitive category of personal data at all.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version and its date will appear on this page. We will not apply a change retroactively to information already given to us under an earlier version without telling you.
